This privacy notice (“Notice”) provides detailed information about the processing of personal data by

(hereinafter jointly: the “Companies” or the “Controllers”, individually: the “Company” or the “Controller”)
in connection with the processing of personal data relating to users of the stylersgroup.com website, persons interested in the services, participants and speakers at events organized by the Companies, as well as personal data processed for marketing purposes in connection with the services presented on the website.

2. Controllers

In the case of the data processing activities defined in detail in this Notice, all of the Companies qualify as joint Controllers, unless otherwise indicated in connection with a specific data processing activity. The joint data processing activity is implemented in such a way that responsibilities are divided among the Companies in connection with the services, meaning that different Companies are responsible for service organization, marketing activities, financial activities, and other related operational tasks; therefore, each Company participates in determining the purposes and means of the data processing activities.

If, as a data subject, you have any comments, questions or complaints, for practical reasons, please contact STYLERS Kft. first. At the same time, however, you may contact any of the Controllers with your request.

The contact details of the Controllers are indicated in Section 1.

The Controllers process the personal data of data subjects confidentially, in compliance with the applicable legal provisions, in particular the provisions of Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination and freedom of information (Info Act), as well as Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (27 April 2016) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter: GDPR). The Controllers ensure the security of personal data, implement the necessary technical and organizational measures, and establish procedural rules required for compliance with the applicable legal requirements.

3. Data Processing Activities and Data Transfers

This section applies to those who visit the stylersgroup.com website, express interest in Stylers Group services through it, or use the services.

3.1. Data Processing Related to Cookies

You can obtain more information about the cookies used by the Controllers from our Cookie Policy.

In the case of data processed for the purpose of operating the website, ensuring the operability of the website and its basic functions (essential or necessary cookies), the legal basis for the data processing is the legitimate interest of the controller(s) (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). In the case of all further cookies, the legal basis for the data processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent).

3.2. Other Data Processing

The court, the prosecutor’s office, the investigating authority, or other bodies authorized by law may contact the Controllers for the purpose of providing information, communicating or transferring data, or making documents available. The Controllers shall disclose personal data to the authorities only to the extent and in such scope as is indispensable for the realization of the purpose of the request, provided that the authority has specified the exact purpose and the scope of the data.

4. Profiling

Personal data is not subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.

5. Data Transfers

The storage of personal data or access to personal data also takes place in countries outside the European Union, through our hosting provider and certain software service providers. Data processing outside the EU takes place in the United States and India.

Data processing in the United States takes place under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, meaning that our processors who access the data are participating and certified service providers under the Data Privacy Framework, and the data transfer takes place on the basis of an adequacy decision accordingly.

In cases where the data transfer does not take place on the basis of an adequacy decision (e.g. to India), each transfer takes place on the basis of the relevant security measures, including the use of standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission in the form of an implementing decision.

6. Rights of Data Subjects in Connection with the Processing of Personal Data

The legislation provides data subjects with a number of rights in connection with the processing of their personal data.
This includes:

(a) Right of access. This right enables the data subject to obtain information from the Controllers as to whether the Controllers process their personal data, and if so, what categories of data and for what purpose. The right of access also includes the right to know with whom the data subject’s data is shared, the duration of data storage, and whether the processing of the data involves automated decision-making.

(b) Right to rectification. The data subject is entitled to have inaccurate or incomplete data rectified or supplemented.

(c) Right to restriction of processing and right to erasure. In the cases specified by law, the data subject may request that the processing of their personal data be restricted to storage, or that such data be erased.

(d) Right to withdraw consent. In all cases where data processing is based on consent, the data subject may withdraw the consents given by them. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal of consent.

(e) Right to object. Data subjects have the right to object to data processing carried out in connection with the legitimate interest of the controller (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

(f) Right to data portability. The data subject is entitled to receive the data provided by them and processed by automated means on the basis of their consent, prior to the performance of a contract or for the purpose of taking steps necessary for the performance of the contract, in a structured, machine-readable and commonly used format, or to have such data transmitted directly to another controller, where technically feasible.

The Controllers may be contacted for this purpose via the contact details provided in Section 1. The Controllers shall provide information on the measures taken in relation to the request within one month of receipt of the request. This period may, where necessary, be extended by a further two months, taking into account the complexity and number of the requests.

7. Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Supervisory Authority

Without prejudice to the above rights, the data subject may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of their personal data infringes applicable data protection law. The complaint may be lodged with the authority competent according to the data subject’s habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.
